Greetings from 12 Seasons Farm,
The farmer’s market season is beginning to wind down. We have 2 Bonita markets
remaining and we have finished the Captiva Farmer’s Market. This Tuesday we
plan to only do the Sanibel drop site for the residents of Sanibel and Captiva!
Please remember to pay by credit card for those doing the Sanibel drop site and
place orders by 8 pm Sunday. We appreciate all who supported us at the Captiva
market this season. Thank you!
For the rest of SW FL, we continue to have Thursday farm pick up, Thursday home
deliveries and Saturday market pick up. Please place your order by 8 pm Tuesday
for Thursday options; and for Saturday market pick up, place orders by
Thursday, 8 pm.
As stated above, we have 2 more Saturday markets in Bonita at the Promenade
shops. Then we will open a Saturday market at the farm for the month of June.
Here is our schedule for this week:
TUESDAY SANIBEL DROP
SITE: A free drop site in Sanibel each Tuesday from 9 am to 3 pm. This
site is hosted by Melissa Lehman. Her address and phone # should be on your
order confirmation email. This will be a self-serve option. Pick up at their
home in their screened foyer which is easily accessible from their driveway.
Produce will be on shelves. There should be 1 spot open in their driveway for a
quick pick up. Order online and please pay by credit card (no cash or checks
please). If you see Melissa, please thank her
for providing this option. Order by 8 pm Sunday for this option.
THURSDAY
FARM PICK-UP & HOME DELIVERY: Place an order online before 8 pm
Tuesday for Thursday all day pick-up at the farm or to receive a home
delivery. For farm pick-up, use original farm entrance, 14840 Old Olga Rd.
Order is usually split between cold produce in walk-in cooler and the air
conditioned structure just left of walk-in cooler.
SATURDAY BONITA SPRINGS FARMER’S MARKET:
Market runs from 8am-noon at the Promenade at Bonita Bay in Bonita Springs. For
those interested in preordering for the market, please do so before 8 pm on

Thank you for a great season at the Captiva Farmer’s Market!
Anchored by Carrie and assisted by Justine and Annika, we are grateful to our
team and this community for their very faithful support of 12 Seasons Farm. We
are continuing the Sanibel drop site at Melissa Lehman’s house each Tuesday.
Mangoes are just starting to ripen. We won’t be able to fill most requests I am
guessing, but at least soon we should have good supply.
Kids are on the daily hunt for mango!
We have done some fun taste tests over the years. We are constantly evaluating
different cultivars of fruits and vegetables. This week we our family sampled
two late season watermelon varieties to determine what to grow next season. We
didn’t have that large of a watermelon plot, but people seemed to really enjoy
us having these and so will try to increase production next season.
We have good arugula still. We have to grow it more in the shade for it to
still produce in this kind of hot weather.
Benjamin sifting through the cabbage scraps at market. I think this boy has a
healthy gut! People might think we don’t feed our kids well if they see him
eating the outer leaves of cabbage but they really like their raw vegetables!
Nearly every day the kids are jumping in the creek to cool off and play on the
rope swing.
The kids with Ms. Betty at the market stand on Saturday morning. Ms. Betty used
to come to the Lakes Park Farmer’s Market and found us in Bonita when we
stopped going there.
We still have good diversity for this heat! We have 2 remaining Saturday
markets in Bonita (May 24 and May 31) before opening up a Saturday market at
the farm.
Thanks to all who joined us this season at the Captiva market!
Danny, Vicki, the kids, and the 12 Seasons Team
